ScottishPower contract awarded
Field Data Capture Specialist, Positioning Resources, has been awarded a tender by ScottishPower to provide laser measuring equipment to measure the height of its high voltage overhead lines.
The TruPulse 200 Laser Rangefinder was successfully used on a project to measure the heights of all low voltage overhead lines in the ScottishPower area last year. Their ease of use and ability to sight the conductor they wanted to measure, were important field capabilities and this led to them being chosen for the new project.
The TruPulse 200 offers the ability to measure distances, heights and inclinations and offer safe and accurate measurement of electrical poles. The Rangefinder offers superior optics with measurements displayed in the scope, on-board calculations and a serial port for data transfer. It also enables the worker to point, shoot and measure objects remotely in the safest possible manner.
