Features incorporated into this selection of remote control dimmers, are soft start, which extends the life of the lamp or bulb, less noise or buzz from the dimmer switch, and compatibility with low voltage transformers. Varilight infrared remote dimmers can be operated by a YRC8 handset, any TV/satellite remote control, or by touch.
Master remote dimmers and slave touch dimmers are available for one-way and multi-way lighting scenarios, but cannot be combined with standard dimmers. NB slave dimmers cannot be used on their own. Mains incandescent GLS lamps (standard mains light bulbs) and GU10 or similar hi spot mains halogen lamps can be used with these dimmer switches. Infrared remote control light switches are ideal for the disabled or the elderly.
