Investing in the future
The hunt is on for British manufacturers who have gone above and beyond, investing in their employees and young talent at regional and national levels.
Manufacturer organisation EEF and JAM Recruitment have launched two new awards aimed at giving companies the opportunity to demonstrate they are superior to their peers across the UK.
The EEF/JAM Investing in Skills award will be presented to the company which has done the most to build skills, develop employees and harness the talent of its people. Manufacturers who have improved or increased skills, training and development opportunities, whether accredited qualifications programmes or local workplace initiatives, should enter this category.
The second new award, the EEF/JAM Partnership in Education award, is new to the Future Manufacturing awards and will be awarded to the company which has done the most to promote engineering and manufacturing careers through activities with education providers, through formal and or informal partnership agreements.
The Future Manufacturing Awards are now in their fifth year and are recognised as one of the UK’s leading awards programmes in the manufacturing sector. They offer manufacturers and apprentices from across the UK the opportunity to showcase achievements across seven different award categories; business growth, people and skills, innovation, export, health and safety, environment and education.
