For a quiet, low maintenance and low cost way of supplying energy to dynamic applications, energy chain specialist igus UK recommends using the P4.32 rol-e-chain.
P4.32 is a cable carrier system designed to self-support on long travels and can even be used without additional guide troughs. Providing a cheaper option to standard e-chains, P4.32 rol-e-chain is suitable for a wide range of applications and industries including cranes, material handling, gantry robots and warehousing.
Quieter than the standard energy chains, P4.32 easily manages long travels of up to 800m and dynamic speeds over 10m/s, and can also withstand high loads of up to 30kg/m due to the special roller design. The rollers are integrated within the links of the chain and are identical in pitch. Also the special comb-like (autoglide) cross bars allow the upper run to glide smoothly on top of itself. These features eliminate any noise or motion issues that normally happen when using standard energy chains in extreme applications.
