Cable Management Reaches New Heights
At 1,016 feet high, The Shard is regarded as one of the most ambitious architectural endeavours in the United Kingdom.
Its form and shape, however, required a versatile cable management solution for distributing the cables that service the Shangri-La Hotel inside The Shard. Metsec Cable Management convinced on aspects of design, cost and availability to win this prestigious project.
A mix of Metsec’s trunking, ladder rack, cable tray and channel now distribute service cables for HVAC and lighting throughout the hotel’s circular corridors on 15 floors across level 34 – 52 of the building.
