Best manufacturer at regional business awards
Stainless steel heat transfer products manufacturer, Fabdec, has been awarded the Best Manufacturer award at the Shropshire Business Awards following a year of sustained growth.
The awards celebrate manufacturers that demonstrate world-class standards and a commitment to industry innovation, training and apprenticeships, and customer service.
The past year has seen Fabdec launch a new water heater, invest in environmentally-friendly LED lighting to improve productivity and employee wellbeing, and hire a group of apprentices across its manufacturing, engineering and commercial divisions. The company has also invested in new technologies to achieve efficiencies and improve competitiveness.
Chris Powell, managing director of Fabdec, said: “It’s brilliant to receive this recognition from the local business community, and serves as a fantastic acknowledgement of our commitment to excellence and the regional economy we’ve been a part of for more than 50 years.
“2017 was a strong year for the business, with growth and increasing expansion into foreign markets including North America, Germany, Russia and Japan.
The company has been based in Ellesmere for over 50 years, where all research, design and manufacturing is undertaken to create bespoke systems for customers.
