BEAMA launches Net Zero Service to help UK manufacturers decarbonise
BEAMA has unveiled a new initiative called the Net Zero Service, which is aimed at helping its members decarbonise and get ready for net zero.

BEAMA, the trade association representing the UK manufacturing sector in energy infrastructure and building systems, has unveiled a new initiative called the Net Zero Service.
The Net Zero Service is aimed at helping BEAMA members decarbonise, which will be key to the UK achieving its overall net zero goals.
Members of BEAMA are crucial to the deployment of net zero technologies in areas such as the electricity grid, EV charging, and building infrastructure. The Net Zero Service aims to provide these entities with the tools needed to address the challenges of industrial decarbonisation, including the reduction of emitted and embodied carbon and the adoption of circular economy principles.
Yselkla Farmer, CEO of BEAMA, stated, "At BEAMA, we recognize the urgent imperative to decarbonize and are dedicated to empowering our members to lead the charge towards the industrial decarbonisation required for Net Zero. Our Net Zero Service is a testament to our commitment to fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and advocating for clear government policies to accelerate the transition in this space whilst ensuring it remains clear, comparable and achievable."
The Net Zero Service offers several key features exclusively for its members, including:
Educational Resources: Toolkits on net zero and sustainability, offering guidance on climate commitments, transition plans, finance, and emissions reduction. These resources include educational materials, market tools, case studies, and standards.
Collaboration and Learning Opportunities: Events, webinars, and workshops designed to foster community learning and collaboration among members and with partners across the supply chain.
Technical Sustainability Committee: This committee will oversee the development of relevant standards and best practices, with task groups focusing on specific market and supply chain challenges.
"We are thrilled by the overwhelming response from our members to this initiative," Yselkla added. "Together with our members and working closely with the Government, the market and wider industry, we will commit to translating net zero into commercial application to drive meaningful progress towards a sustainable future."
