RS Components increases OLED choice from Osram Opto Semiconductors

RS Components today announced it is the first distributor to be stocking the latest OLED lighting solutions from Osram Opto Semiconductors. The 'instant on, dimmable' additions to the Orbeos range of OLED lighting components represent the very latest in lighting flexibility and are available for same day despatch from rswww.com.

The unique mirrored effect offered by the OLED lighting tiles means they appear to be conventional mirrors when switched off, but are instantly capable of delivering up to 1700 candela/square meter when on, with dimming if desired. OLED technology uses a thin layer of organic material to emit light, making it possible to create incredibly thin lighting structures. Creative lighting designs can be realised; arrays of this new source shape the spatial distribution of light without reflectors, lenses or prisms.

The latest additions to the RS portfolio include the CMW-031 which is a round light with a 79mm diameter, and the RMW-046, a rectangular light measuring 125 x 48mm. Both parts weigh less than 25g and measure just 1.8mm thick.
