Run solar, storage and EV charging projects on one system with Reonic

Reonic runs solar PV, battery storage, heat pump and EV charging work on a single job record, so design, simulation, quoting and documentation all draw on the same survey.

The ceiling is throughput, not demand

UK solar reached 22.1 GW in March 2026, having added 2.3 GW in twelve months against a Clean Power 2030 target of 45 to 47 GW. Aurora Energy Research puts the required rate at roughly 6 GW a year. Great Britain had 7.2 GW of operational battery capacity at the end of Q1 2026, against a 30 GW pipeline.

The demand is not in question. The capacity to deliver it is.

The workforce is not the lever

England's electrical workforce moved from 160,200 to 161,300 over the past year, growth of under 1%, against a government assessment that construction and clean energy alone need 32,400 more workers by 2035. Turner & Townsend found 100% of UK respondents reporting shortages of qualified mechanical, electrical and plumbing staff.

DESNZ's 2026 supply chain study names the shortage as most acute for design and commissioning engineers and project managers. Those are the roles that sit between a signed contract and an energised system. If headcount cannot grow fast enough, throughput per team is what moves.

One job record, from survey to handover

A commercial site is rarely one technology now. Rooftop solar arrives with battery storage, and increasingly with depot or workplace charging, often phased across a portfolio. Most contractors deliver that across four separate systems, retyping the same survey data at every step.

Reonic keeps it on one record. Drawing on the same design:

  • Roof measurement, module layout and shading simulation
  • Heat load calculation and yield modelling
  • The single line diagram
  • The quote and the customer portal
  • Documentation and compliance, including MCS

Moreover, it is fully personalised and customisable to meet each business's needs.

What one platform actually changes

One design means the quote, the single line diagram and the handover pack cannot contradict each other. A change made on site updates everything downstream rather than starting four separate edits. A project manager sees where every job stands without asking four people. A new engineer learns one system, not four, which counts for a lot when hiring takes months.

None of that is glamorous. It is the difference between a team delivering the work it already has and a team with room to take on more.
