Free fire safety training reaches 2,000 members as Hochiki Training Academy marks milestone

Hochiki Europe's Training Academy, a free online training platform covering its fire and life safety product range, has just welcomed its 2,000th member: a milestone that reflects how many engineers are already building product knowledge through the platform, and a reminder for those who haven't yet that access costs nothing.
The 2,000th registration went to Ricky Wyatt of Blake Contractors Ltd. Ricky and his colleagues travelled to Hochiki's Gillingham headquarters to complete the practical element of the FIREscape Nepto course, building on the online modules with hands-on training delivered by Hochiki's technical team.
For engineers weighing up whether the Academy is worth their time, that combination is the point. The core training is online and free, covering product knowledge and system design at your own pace. The Gillingham sessions add an optional practical layer, giving engineers the chance to handle the products directly and work through installation and commissioning questions with Hochiki's own team.
To mark reaching the milestone, Ricky was presented with a hamper by Phil Green, Senior Technical Support Engineer at Hochiki Europe.
Reflecting on the course, Ricky said, "The online course is really clear in its delivery with diagrams and explanations. It's always good to come in, see the products in real life and receive physical training with the experts."
