Plastic connector hood offers flexible housing solution
Harting has extended its Han-Compact series of industrial connector hoods with a plastic version featuring combined straight and lateral cable outlets.
The new hood offers increased flexibility in mounting arrangements as well as easier ordering and logistics procedures for the customer since only one type number need be used for several different applications.
Designed for use with a cable clamp of size M20, the new Han-Compact hood is supplied with both cable outlets closed. Simply turning the cable clamp between the straight and/or lateral options opens the corresponding cable outlet.
The new hood is suitable for all contact inserts from HARTING’s Han-Compact® range. In the closed condition it meets the requirements of protection class IP 65 in accordance with DIN EN 60 529 and the flammability class V 0 in accordance with UL 94. The application temperature range is between -40°C and +125°C.
