New compact generator
Riello UPS has partnered with multinational manufacturer Himoinsa Power Solutions to offer a highly efficient new generator set to revolutionise standby power supplies for data centres and beyond.
The 640 kVA / 509 kw Power Cube offers a more compact, robust, quieter and more efficient solution than a standard generator, making it ideal for the data centre market where space is at a premium. The product will be launched at Datacenter Dynamics Converged which ran from 19-20 November at Excel, London.
Historically, 1 MW generators have only been available in a 20 foot container and typically weigh in excess of 17,500kg.
The Power Cube is housed in a ten foot certified shipping container and weighs in at less than 8,000kg. This makes it 50% smaller in body length and 35% smaller in cubic metres compared to other generators on the market.
