Mina partners with ev.energy to make fleet charging smarter than ever

Charging a company vehicle is about to get a lot smarter, as Mina and ev.energy have announced a partnership between the two firms. 

The Mina platform is designed to give company owners a simple way to track and pay for their fleet’s electric vehicle charging costs, by providing a single bill for all charging no matter where it occurs. However, while they would be given the data on how much it costs to charge these vehicles, they would have no control over when these vehicles were charged as that was left up to the individual driver. 

By partnering with ev.energy, those using the Mina platform will soon have more granular control over when their fleets are being charged. This is because ev.energy’s technology can hold back a vehicle’s charge for when the grid is at its greenest. Plus, for those who have smart energy tariffs like Octopus Go at home, this smart control of when a vehicle can charge could reduce the cost for the company. 

Additionally, the partnership with ev.energy also provides Mina customers with the ability to access a holistic view of each driver’s charging data from the vehicle itself, giving drivers an unrivalled smart charging experience. Fleet managers will also benefit from market-leading insights into their vehicle charging behaviour.

What’s more, with over 50,000 users now having downloaded the ev.energy app, fleet drivers on the Mina platform will have full access to the premium features available from the software provider, such as advanced charge scheduling to reduce their carbon footprint and precise charging criteria to protect the car battery.

Over 150 test users have already come forward to trial the early integration in February 2022 alongside the Indra Smart Pioneer. The service will be available to other fleets, small businesses, and sole traders from March 2022.
