Midfix launches flameproof cable accessories range

Midfix has launched a flameproof range of cable accessories to help electrical contractors comply with the latest changes in the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.

The range features more than 20 fully compliant products including the firm’s Firesafe tie mount. Developed in-house by Midfix’s product development team, the new Firesafe tie mount features cable-friendly rounded edges and a clever snap-off tab for holding and positioning the mount during installation. They can be used with all cordless nailing tools, removing the need to change noses and making fitting quick and easy.

Midfix’s managing director, Adrian Fowler, said, “We listened to what our customers wanted and have worked hard to develop one of the most extensive ranges of 18th Edition compliant cable fixings currently available. We recognise that the new rules are a significant change for the industry and we wanted to create a one-stop-shop, making it easy for contractors to get hold of everything they need to ensure compliance under one roof.”

As well as the Firesafe tie mount, the flameproof range includes accessories such as cable harnesses, push mounts, fire rated cable clips and economically priced steel cable ties.
