High speed, reliable data transmissions
FS Cables now stocks a range of fibre optic cables to provide high speed, reliable data transmissions around the home or building.
Manufactured by Draka featuring 'installer friendly' BendBright technology, the range includes OM1, OM3, OM4 (multi-mode) and OS2 (single-mode) in 4, 8 or 12 fibre configurations. These are offered as loose tube or tight buffered and feature a black internal/external LSHF sheath.
For enhanced mechanical protection and resistance to rodent damage, steel tape armoured versions are also available. Stocked in 100m, 200m, 500m reels or cut-to-length, cables are delivered next working-day as standard to most of mainland UK.
Fibre optic cabling is becoming an increasingly popular choice for data transmission, providing very high data rates over greater bandwidths compared to traditional copper cabling.
Fibre is unaffected by electromagnetic interference (EMI) making it suitable for installations in electrically ‘noisy’ environments. BendBright technology enables enhanced bending performance while maintaining performance, reducing installation and labour costs.
