Hager launches its first switchboard designed for the UK market

Hager has officially entered the UK switchboard market, with the company going up against the likes of ABB and Schneider Electric. 

Dubbed Quadro Evo, this is the first time Hager has launched a switchboard that has been specifically designed to meet the legislative needs of British Standards, as well as the specific market and installer expectations. 

Of course, the Quadro Evo hasn’t come out of nowhere, nor is Hager entering a market that it is completely new to. In fact, the Quadro Evo is simply an evolution of the Quadro+, which can already be found powering over 3,000 buildings across Europe. 

What the Quadro Evo is, is a product built to accommodate all of the market norms and habits, along with full regulation compliance to BS EN 61439, while still retaining the DNA of the Quadro platform. 

The Quadro Evo switchboard will be offered with a combination of Hager ACBs and MCCBs, all of which will be manufactured in the UK at the company’s factory in Telford.

Ease of wiring has been a priority and the newly incorporated aluminium busbar no longer requires hole punching to connect outgoing circuits. This saves precious on-the-job time and valuable costs.”

The Quadro Evo range is set to compete directly with Schneider Electric’s PrismaSeT LV switchboard, which, like the Hager Quadro Evo, has also been tested to comply with BS EN 61439.
