ER & DCR Excellence Awards postponed

Due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus, in the interest of our stakeholders, the Electrical Review & Data Centre Review Excellence Awards – which was due to take place on 21 May 2020 at London’s Christ Church Spitalfields – has now been postponed to 24 September 2020, at the same venue.

It is of course impossible to predict how long this disruption will continue, so with this uncertainty in mind, entries to our awards will remain open until further notice and we invite organisations to continue sending in their submissions. Although everyone’s priority right now is very much centred around health as it should be, this situation will affect everyone at some point whether that be physically, mentally or financially. Many events the world over have now been forced to postpone or have ended up scrapped completely, and with the companies involved having invested so much, although the safest option, this has understandably been a costly and frustrating blow for many.

According to statistics, 92% of trade show attendees say their main reason for their attendance is to see new products being featured. With this in mind, we urge companies that have been affected by low event footfall or have missed out on events altogether, to utilise our awards as a platform to showcase any products or projects that might’ve otherwise missed out on the spotlight. 

We shall certainly be keeping our fingers crossed that this situation comes to an end as quickly as it began, with as little damage as possible. In the meantime, we remain at the service of our clients, partners, readers and the industry at large, and hope to see you in September for a night to remember, but for all the right reasons.
