Call for entries as the 5th annual Data Centre Leaders’ Awards is announced
Recognising excellence in data centre design and operation, the Data Centre Leaders' Awards 2011 features 15 different categories embracing different sizes and types of data centre as well as the dedicated individuals and teams responsible for their design and operation.
Chair of the Judging Panel, Zahl Limbuwala, said "Data centres are central to modern life. It's right therefore that we should gather to celebrate the innovation and ingenuity of an industry which has transformed itself to meet ever-evolving IT, environmental and cost pressures. Judging the Awards is so challenging because of eye-catching levels of smart thinking on display as industry professionals go about ensuring that their data centres are always on for business."
The Awards are also innovating with the introduction of new categories including the intriguing "Most Extreme Data Centre Deployment Award". George Rockett of DatacenterDynamics said, "These days people are putting data centres everywhere! We want to recognise that and bring to the attention of the public some of the remarkable engineering feats and almost unbelievable places in which critical infrastructure is being made operational."
The 5th Annual Data Centre Leaders Awards look set to mark yet another year of positive and healthy competition amongst the well established, the up and coming and small corporations within the sector. The awards ceremony will take place at the Lancaster London on Thursday 15 December 2011.
