Installed base of PLCs tops 10 million
The installed base of Mitsubishi Electric's compact PLC line, the FX, has topped ten million units, said to make the FX Family models some of the most widely used PLCs in the world.
Mitsubishi Electric launched the first compact PLC on the European market over 30 years ago, bringing PLC control and functionality into smaller, lower cost applications that would previously had to rely solely on discrete relay-based logic.
