Testing know-how brought to a screen near you
For electrical contractors new to Megger's MFT1500 series multifunction testers and for existing users who want to be sure that they're getting the best from their instruments, Megger is now offering a free DVD training presentation that shows in detail how to use all of the functions offered by these versatile testers. The video, which runs for around 20 minutes, is supplied on a DVD that can be used with almost any computer or standalone DVD player.
In the presentation, an experienced Megger engineer walks users step-by-step through all of the tests required by the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, including continuity, insulation, earth loop impedance and RCD testing. The key points relating to each test are fully explained. The presentation also features an impressive demonstration of a laptop computer automatically loading results into a test certificate, after it has captured them from an MFT1553 tester via a Bluetooth wireless connection.
