Contactless infrared thermometers
Global Measurement, of Long Eaton, has strengthened its range of contactless infrared thermometers with the introduction of a high temperature instrument. These High Temperature Infrared Thermometers with Class II laser sighting are suitable for fast, easy and accurate non-contact infrared measurement of most surface temperatures; they are suitable for a wide range of applications including plant & general maintenance, HVAC, transport & automotive and health & safety.
The instrument has a 50:1 spot size ratio at its focal point, which means a surface of 1cm diameter can be scanned from a distance of 50cm. It has a very wide temperature range of -500C to +1,6000C and can present measurements in Centigrade or Fahrenheit. Emissivity is adjustable from 0.1 to 1.0 (blackbody); emissivity is critically dependent on the surface properties of the item being measured and the variability available from this instrument means it can cater for relatively shiny (low emissivity) materials without other correction. Response time of the unit is less than one second and the measured temperature value is held on the display for seven seconds after trigger release. The instrument has a user friendly, ergonomic design.
Global supplies a range of infrared temperature instruments as part of a comprehensive range of process sensors and instrumentation.
