Innovation in distribution
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is inviting professionals from the electricity distribution community to submit papers for its international conference and exhibition.
CIRED, organised by the IET, provides a world-wide perspective on the electricity distribution community. The theme of this year's event is ‘Innovation in electricity distribution for a sustainable future'.
The 2009 CIRED conference is the 20th in the series and will take place in Prague from 8-11 June 2009. Submitting a paper provides a unique opportunity for professionals in the industry to present their views and share ideas with electricity distribution community.
Submissions should fall within the scope of the following six themes:
- Network components;
- Power quality and Electromagnetic Compatibility;
- Operation, control and protection;
- Distributed energy resources and efficient utilisation of electricity;
- Power distribution system development;
- Distribution network as electricity market place and impact of regulation.
Robin McGill, IET chief executive, said: "CIRED is the industry's leading conference and exhibition, held every two years. The event will provide a unique opportunity to learn, discuss and exchange experience about the major structural, technical, managerial and regulatory changes affecting the industry.
