Acquistion brings new capabilities
The Shenton Capital Group, which owns Scorpion Power Systems, Merlin Power Management, Powercall UK and Celtaire Air Conditioning Solutions, has announced its purchase of LTH Industrial Solutions for an undisclosed sum.
A capital projects business specialising in the delivery of complex power and cooling projects particularly in the defence industry, LTH Industrial Solutions has merged with Scorpion Power Systems and is now trading as Scorpion Power Systems - forming its technical services division.
By acquiring the skills base of LTH Industrial Solutions, Scorpion Power Systems and the other Shenton Group companies are now able to offer a broader range of capabilities. Through the acquisition, Scorpion Power Systems, which has traditionally provided standby and prime power systems for the military, IT, healthcare, commercial and telecoms markets, has added to its footprint in the power market enabling it to meet customer demands for complete end-to-end solutions.
Derek Barry, general manager at Scorpion said: "There has always been great synergy between LTH and Scorpion which has included some very successful joint projects. The acquisition of LTH provides us with new channels to market and enhances our relationship with the expanding power and CHP markets."
