A powerful alternative

Leicestershire-based Power On Connections, which promotes itself as an alternative to local electricity companies (distribution network operators – DNOs) has started work on the mixed-use Snowhill development in Birmingham.

The new scheme will provide over 90,000 m² of office space, residential apartments, a hotel, fitness complex, conference facilities as well as shops, restaurants and bars.

Power On Connections, has worked on several projects locally, and has been retained by Ballymore Properties to work on the 44-storey residential tower, which will provide 332 luxury apartments and penthouses. The work due to be carried out includes co-ordinating a 3km cable route through Birmingham city centre in order to install six sub-stations that will carry an electrical load of 8.3 MVA.
