Electrical industry charity celebrates 100th birthday
Fundraising continued throughout the event with tombola, an auction, stand up bingo and a fantastic raffle. There was also an opportunity for guests to mark this significant anniversary by giving a special 100th Birthday Pledge with many people offering gifts for beneficiaries, 100 minutes of their time, or donations of £100 (£1 for each year of the charity).
“EEIBA raised just over £ 260,000 because the sponsors, table hosts and guests got behind their industry charity and made it happen. They were great, and had a fantastic time.” Said John Broom, powerBall Chairman, and Managing Director of Conair Ltd.
The charity wishes to thank the sponsors, those who gave donations, the many companies and individuals who are too numerous to mention for their incredible support. They were instrumental in raising so much to help those who have fallen upon difficult times, who in many cases for whatever reason have so little.
