ABB teams up with Greenwoods to supply to telecomms market
ABB has appointed Greenwoods Communications – an independent network solutions provider to the communications industry – as a strategic UK distributor to the telecomms market.
The partnership will enable ABB to increase its market share to double digits within the telecomms sector as a low-voltage control-gear component supplier and comes on the back of ABB’s acquisition of Entrelec, who were a leading supplier of DIN rail connectors to the sector.
The industrial sales manager at ABB, Dave Evans, said: "This partnership with Greenwoods represents an ideal route into the telecomms market for ABB. Having spent two years constructing a deal, we are pleased that our customers within this sector will have a well known and respected point of purchase for our low-voltage product range.
"It is encouraging to see a partnership whereby our customers in the telecoms sector will benefit in terms of cost and service."
Some of the products that will be supplied under the partnership include: ABB’s miniature circuit breaker range, energy meters, surge protectors, switch rail power supply and a variety of DIN rail mounted components.
