Black Sea countries to set up electricity market
The Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization will seek to establish a joint electricity market to promote closer ties in trade and energy, according to reports from a BSEC meeting in Komotini, Greece.
Almost a fortnight ago, Bulgaria, Greece and Russia – three members of BSEC – agreed to construct a EUR700m (£475m) oil pipeline between the Black Sea and the Aegean Sea.
The other members of BSEC are Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldovia, Romania, Serbia-Montenegro, Turkey and Ukraine.
