New energy sector director for Beama
Terry Rowbury has joined Beama as its new director for the energy sector, bringing a wealth of experience to the association.
Previously the Energy Saving Trust's (EST) head of low carbon housing and technology, Rowbury worked in the energy supply sector for 28 years with London Electricity/EDF and in energy efficiency through 11 years with the EST.
Terry Rowbury commented: "Beama has dynamic future plans and I am confident that working with its team, my experience will contribute in achieving the association's stretching ambitions.
"The association has a long history supporting its members, built upon robust promotion of product safety and quality standards. These are principles, which I will aim to reinforce by communicating the positive environmental impact of member products, and by enhancing the service we provide.
"Sustainability issues will continue to be important on the political agenda, and I will push to increase the profile of energy sector members and their products as an integral part of the solution."
