Centre of excellence to open
Shepherd FM, the facilities management division of Shepherd Engineering Services (SES), has announced its new Head Office is to become a centre of excellence with its own in-house training academy.
The new London head office, which backs onto the Albert Dock, opened at the beginning of February 2009 and accommodates a number of support functions as well as hosting the Shepherd FM service desk.
The new Training Academy at Crinan Street has already witnessed a high number of engineers passing through its doors. Seminars on customer service and safety awareness have been very well received and, encouragingly, many Shepherd FM clients are also taking advantage of the facility.
Neil Marley is the Shepherd FM safety, quality and environmental advisor and has conducted a number of the training seminars and technical training days. He says, "Expert advice, knowledgeable staff and support for our customers are all ingredients for our continued success. We're an innovative and responsible company, providing a range of support services. We help clients meet their statutory obligations, reduce their risk and maintain their asset value. "
Shepherd FM is a national contractor operating a local delivery structure, offering clients a number of FM services including; HVAC, critical power, lighting and building fabric maintenance as well as a consultancy service which focuses on bespoke health and safety management and energy saving solutions.
Shepherd FM has an additional six offices nationwide, which serves its network of clients, including; The Central Office of Information, Kinston Hospital, NHS Trust, Twickenham stadium, Marriott Hotels and a leading German car manufacturer.
