Type Registered status awarded
Erskine Systems, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of AC & DC battery based secure power systems has been awarded Type Registered status by National Grid.
As a Type Registered DC Systems Solution provider, offering both dual and single charger/battery systems over the range of 24 to 110v dc, systems can be supplied with custom designed distribution boards for switchgear and telemetry/telecommunication systems backup.
The company been manufacturing equipment for use in National Grid substations for over 25 years. However, recent changes to the National Grid approval system and ongoing updates by Erskine required additional testing on the range of chargers. Some of this testing was carried out in-house in Erskine's own EMC and environmental pre-compliance test chambers.
