Legrand and Electrak join forces
Electrak has joined the Legrand Group as part of the electrical multinationals ongoing strategic acquisition plan. The move will increase Legrand's range of commercial segment brands and help to drive forward Electrak's expansion into overseas markets.
The change of ownership will allow Electrak to tap into the global resources of Legrand. The work station power distribution specialist's operations will continue from its existing head office and factory in Consett, County Durham. Electrak's senior management team will also remain in post.
Electrak's managing director, Geoff McCann commented: "From our customers' point of view it will be business as usual - they will be dealing with the same teams, the same distribution channels and the same high quality products.
"For us as a business, joining forces with Legrand means that we can now build on our success in the UK by driving growth overseas and by capitalising on our parent company's international sales network."
