Turret lugs from Harwin provide secure, simple connection
Harwin the high performance interconnect maker, has announced that a comprehensive range of turret lugs - used in many applications to provide a strong, reliable wire to board connection – are detailed in its catalogue and website.
Turret lugs - also known as turret pins or terminals - are firmly attached to the PCB usually by riveting and soldering them through a hole in the PCB. The wire is then attached and soldered to the lug. This approach is often preferred for ease of assembly and because it provides a firm mechanical anchor for the wire against mechanical strain and vibration, as well as a secure electrical connection especially for larger diameter wires.
Turret lugs are used by many applications, including high quality valve amplifiers, transformers, and military projects, as well as the repair and maintenance sector.
