On 30 May 2019, Electrical Review and Data Centre Review had the pleasure of hosting the 2nd annual Electrical Review Excellence Awards, in partnership with Riello UPS, at the elegant Four Seasons Hotel on London’s Park Lane.

Following the acclaimed launch in 2018, the Awards celebrated excellence, best practice, innovations and technical developments across a range of projects and products from the electrical and data centre industries. 

The Judging panel once again faced a tough challenge of selecting the best from a host of entries submitted by organisations of all sizes, from small businesses to large multinationals. The winners were revealed during the presentation ceremony hosted by none other than the highly-respected industry figure - Prof Ian F Bitterlin, Consulting Engineer and Visiting Professor at University of Leeds. 

The Award winners were:

Power - Product of the Year

Winner: ABB Power Grids - TXplore robotic transformer inspection service

The final two Awards, sponsored by Riello UPS, recognised ‘the best of the best’ from all recipients of this year’s awards. The overall Project of the Year was awarded to Simmtronic Lighting Control for their University of Northampton entry, and the Product of the Year trophy was handed to Adaptarose Ltd for their BS67 Smart Ceiling Rose

We were delighted to host the shortlisted entrants and industry guests, many of whom contributed to the successes highlighted during the Awards evening. 

The Electrical Review Magazine has been highlighting such successes for over 140 years and it will continue to do so, along with our younger but equally ambitious and passionate publication, Data Centre Review.
