Breather prevents transformer oil deterioration

Brownell has introduced a cost effective breather which prevents moisture being drawn into transformer oil reservoirs.

Water contamination can deteriorate and reduce the electrical insulation properties of oil to cool power and distribution transformers.

Brownell simple to install transformer breather contains an active moisture adsorbent with a chemical impregnated to visibly indicate a colour change when the adsorbent is saturated.

The adsorbent can be recovered using hot air and consequently re-used or can easily be replaced with fresh adsorbent.High impact resistant plastics are used in the construction to prevent vandalism and accidental damage.
