Wolseley lights Heathrow crash site

Wolseley has supplied lighting equipment at short notice as part of the investigation into the recent plane crash at Heathrow airport.

Wolseley’s Brandon Hire depot in Hayes and its Electric Center branch in Heathrow collaborated to supply 30 lighting towers to British Airport Authority (BAA), which were delivered to the site within a few hours of the order being placed.

Stewart Hodges, managing director of Electric Center, said: “We were asked to provide a large amount of pre-assembled, temporary lighting, which could be easily adjusted and able to illuminate a vast area.

“We are pleased to have helped BAA respond to the incident by fulfilling this brief and supplying the towers quickly and efficiently, which reflects credit on all involved.”

Electric Center is an existing supplier to BAA for maintenance work in various UK airports.
