The 2006 Amtech software for electrical engineers and contractors has been released and contains many new features to save the electrical professional even more time. This version has a completely new look and feel. There is a new colour scheme and all the icons have been re-designed to provide a much fresher and easier to use environment. ProDesign, Amtech's electrical design software package, contains many new features and enhancements for 2006 including:
- New graphical view of cable installation methods, see the installation method on screen as it is in the regs ensuring that the correct BS 7671 installation method is selected.
- New Consumer Unit Module for modelling single phase consumer units quickly and accurately, including RCD split consumer units.
- Instant Data Display - hover the mouse over any network component on screen to instantly display all key data relating to it - a powerful time saver.
Amtech's test & inspection software, FastTest, has not been left out. The new 2006 version also contains many new features, including:
- New Board Manager - to give more flexibility on tests where there are a number of distribution boards. Boards can be inserted, removed, moved and renamed.
- Customise the colours of certificates to suit your company style.
- New Autosave function to help prevent data loss.
- New Excessive Earth Loop Impedance report.
FastTest Mobile for the Pocket PC has been completely re-written and is now compatible with the new Windows Mobile 5.0 software. FastTest recently won Electrical Software Product of the Year at the Electrical Industry Awards sponsored by Electrical Times and Electrical Review.
